Emily Bergl

Actress Emily Bergl is in negotiations to join the cast of ABC’s Desperate Housewives.” Bergl would join the cast in a recurring role during season seven if both sides can come to an agreement.

Her character arrives on Wisteria Lane with a juicy secret in hand to start off season seven. Bergl, assuming she joins the cast, would be the latest addition to the cast of “Desperate Housewives.” Vanessa Williams and Brian Austin Green have also signed on to join the cast for the upcoming seventh season.

Bergl stars on “Men in Trees” as Annie O’Donnell and can also be seen on the TNT series “Southland,” in which she plays the aspiring photographer of a Los Angeles police detective, played by Shawn Hatosy.

Does this mean she’s leaving ‘Southland’? That would suck. Can she be in both?

It is unclear whether she will be in both but if the shooting schedules are distinct enough, she might pull off being on two shows at once.
