Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City) will guest star in four episodes of Showtime’s new dark comedy series, THE BIG C, which premieres on Monday, August 16th at 10:30p PT/ET.
The Big C stars Laura Linney as Cathy, a repressed suburban teacher, wife and mother who reclaims her life after a terminal cancer diagnosis.
Nixon will play the character of Rebecca, Cathy (lead Laura Linney) flaky, long-lost college roommate who re-enters her life and shakes things up in a wild way.
The first season of The Big C will feature 13 original episodes. The series also stars Oliver Platt (2012) as Cathy’s immature, but well-meaning husband, and Gabourey Sidibe as a smart-alecky student in Cathy’s class.
