GHOST HUNTERS ACADEMY “The New Class” Early Review June 1, 2010 Reviews, Syfy GHOST HUNTERS ACADEMY celebrates it’s Season Two premier this Wednesday June 2nd at 9/8c on Syfy. I got the opportunity to check out an advanced copy of the first episode, “The New Class” this week and thought I would share with you some of the details. For starters, this season of Ghost Hunters Academy is slightly different than last season in that this time there will be an elimination each week. I think this is going to be an awesome and exciting addition to the show. Also, Jason Hawes from Ghost Hunters will judging who gets voted off! Pretty cool, right? Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango return to round out the cast as team leaders. Another cool thing about Season Two is that they are visiting some of my favorite past Ghost Hunters locations (Mark Twain House, Stanley Hotel, and the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum). “The New Class” takes place at Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, KY. When the Ghost Hunters crew were there a few years ago, they caught some impressive apparitions on the infrared. In “The New Class”, Steve, Tango and their students also catch some great evidence both on audio and on video. Of the eight contestants, the backgrounds include law enforcement, professional arm wrestling, film, and nursing. So far, I agree with who has been deemed the stronger and weaker members of the group. Jason Hawes comes off as a tough judge that is going to tell people straight, and so far it’s made for some great television. I’m already looking forward to episode two. If you’ve never checked out GHA, I highly recommend it. Don’t think of it as a reality show because it’s actually much more than that. With a typical reality show, the focus is more on the contestants, the relationship building, and the eliminations. What makes GHA great is that it is more about capturing compelling evidence, so it’s like having two shows in one. Don’t forget to check out Ghost Hunters Academy this Wednesday June 2nd at 9/8c on Syfy! Mulhollem Steve and Tango are jerks! I can clearly remember when THEY started, they made twice as many ‘slip ups’ as the newbie’s! Steve was simply NO GOOD as an investigator as he jumped out of his skin every time he saw a bug (esp. spiders!) now everyone including and most esp. Jason OVERLOOKED his little ‘quirks’ because he was good with electronics (why he got hired to start with, not because he had any ‘expertise’ with ghost hunting! and TANGO, is such a little woose! He was much more of a ‘woosie’ than BRIAN who they ‘pushed’ out of the show I can’t believe they are being so judgemental! http://www.daemonstv.com Amie Hi Karen. I think it’s because the show is a competition that they act that way. It wouldn’t make for an interesting reality show if they forgave everyone for slipping up http://firstname.lastname@example.org Brett My name Is Brett Wessell. I didn’t know you were going to recuirt another member. When I found out I usually don’t miss you’re show’s. I can beat any one on you’re canidate’s Hands Down! Caitlin OMG That Girl Natelie or however you spell it is so retarded tengo told her to stay with the group and not wander off and what does she do? Wander off! Natalie if you do see this i just want to say is if you want to win fucking read the rules and listen! http://none roy pullin Waverly wow. Where Jason saw shadow figures. So much emphasis on equipment. The body itself is best. Equipment is there for.use for exploitation.old school is best in rich places. Roy9192104158 brent i wanna be on ghost hunters academy. i have experienced with the paranormal quite a few times in my life. i think i would be an excellent student for the academy. i have a suggestion to where i think they should do an investigation. which is the amitiville house. http://none roy pullin ghost chasing isnt a game. Ive done this back in 80s. In places rich. Even got my eyes covered by a child spirit. Spirits r touchy as to who they mess with. Provoking is done tactfully. Roy9192104158 http://n/a Frank Cunningham I will never watch Ghost Hunters again…..that was the stupidest thing I have ever witnessed. You idiots….you do enough stupid things on your show as far as you trying to appear like you have some sort of chain of command in your group….but to do this takes the cake…..you suck…..pitting people against people…for ratings..pathedic! People should only be there if they want to….not cause they had to earn it…..give me a break….. http://none roy pullin Most people just want tv exposer. Ghost hunting is cool and can be both dull and great in .one hr depending on the activity. Steve and Tango have a difficult task of trying to filter out who can do this. Paranormal research is a new frontiier science. This field can have its share of dangers. Roy9192104158 http://none roy pullin HI. How would it be possible to participate? Even if I Were to lose ?
