I think it’s far to say that Damon and Carlton are geniuses. They have made some incredible lasting contributions to both television history and pop culture. After a show like LOST, it’s going to be hard for networks to claim they can’t live up to the artistic standards or risk taking of cable networks. While some of their bets may not have played off wonderfully (Nikki & Paulo being the most glaring I think), a lot of their risks have really changed the TV medium. It’s going to be lonely going through my week without having a mystery to ponder because of them. Hopefully tonight sums up some stuff before the finale – I know that I already am dreading next week without Lost to look forward to.
