The popular “Transporter” movie franchise is set to become “Transporter-the television Series”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lagardere Entertainment and EuropaCorp, a subsidiary of Atlantic Productions, will produce 12 one-hour episodes, with a budget of $4 million per episode. It is said to begin shooting in Febuary 2011. Although discussions are in the works, no major network deals have yet been signed. Transporter-the Series will be delivered mid to late 2011
The Transporter movie trilogy stars Jason Statham as Frank Martin, a.k.a the Transporter, who will transport anything for a price. His three rules: no names, never change the deal, and never look in the package. The first three titles have made a collective $238 million for EuropaCorps films.
