LEGEND OF THE SEEKER Cancelled

And for the bad news of the day, LEGEND OF THE SEEKER is cancelled (Nooooo!!!). According to Michael Ausiello, ABC Studios was unable to find any new takers for the series after many of Tribune Station Group’s markets dropped the show.

Legend of the Seeker was one of my favorite shows and I am really upset that we won’t be getting any new episodes. I guess all that’s left for me to do now to fill this whole is continue reading the series of books by Terry Goodkind… but more seriously I really hope that we at least get to see some of the cast back on TV (or anywhere really) soon. I’m really looking forward to finding out what Bridget Regan and Craig Horner will be up to next.

Ok, well I’m gonna go cry now…

      Usually, when they announce it, it’s pretty accurate, even if they haven’t announced it officially yet.

    THIS IS NOT FAIR!! The show did not even get to 50 episodes. If you’re going to cancel a beloved show, make it sure it lasts long to reach 100!

    This can’t be!!! I just found this show a few weeks ago!! Just got like 10 more people to watch it. I’m on Season 1 episode 16.. Was excited to see it blossom into one of the great shows for all of us. Somehow this must reach 100 for syndication. Future generation must be shown the Love The Seeker and Confessor. I’m deeply saddened, and still have hope!!

    This was a very good show. Why the HELL doesn’t Syfy pick up this show? Shows like this would do well on the channel. Syfy could’ve saved this and many other shows from cancelation.

    They need to stop making those shitty movies too.

      In Philipp’s defense, he does have pretty good taste in TV shows :-)

      And I agree with you about Syfy, it would make a great home for Legend of the Seeker, but I guess it’s just not that easy. Then again you never know.

    The show was horrible, never did the books justice by any stretch of the imagination. It would have been much better if they had followed the books exactly.

      I agree Terrys books had such depth and feeling the show seemed stunted in comparison. But this is merely my opinion. Ps I especially hated what they did with Sebastian turning him into a fool and a coward. The way they did it was degrading. To such a skilled authors work.

    You should update this blog saying that LOTS is NOT OFFICIALLY CANCELED. Those are just rumors – the fans are fighting really hard to get the show a third season!     I just found this show in the recent months and I absolutely love it! It’s too soon for this show to end in my mind. I feel that the network never gave it a chance due to it’s late Sunday night time slot. I never heard anything on television yet about the series finale. I’ve only heard about the upcoming season finale. Are you sure your source is accurate about the show coming to an end? Why won’t they talk about the series ending in the upcoming previews is what I wonder. Hmmmmmmm…

    I will miss the show and the characters – I really liked the books (I read all of them). The first season was good – a bit off the book, but okay. However, season 2 has gone so far off the rails, there’s no getting it back on track. It’s going absolutely nowhere. Terry Goodkind was supposed to be involved in the show, but he was clearly not consulted on the wild tangents they’ve gone off on this season. Sadly, I think it’s time to “put the show down”. Maybe down the road, someone can actually follow the books properly…but then TV executives know better than a best-selling novelist who spent 10 years selling millions of books, right…? Hmmm…when do these execs get cancelled?

    Iam very upset that this show is being cancelled. It is not often that you find a tv show that has meaning and passion now days. I do not think that it was marketed very well. I am going to miss this series very much, this is a very serious loss and I regret the station did not do its very best to keep it.

    They don’t care about the real fans of legend of the seeker I have both seasons on DVD I’m pissed at the production company this was so different than anything else on tv!!!!!!! They are so cheap they would even cancel this brilliant story!!!!????

    its has been an hard and painful year and my mother, brother, and i have not seen our seeker, mother cofessor, bad ass mord sith, and of course our wizard of the first order… people who watch the show know them as Richard, Kahlan, Cara, and Zeddicus. we miss this show so much and were disapointed when we stepped inside BEst Buy for the DVDs of the season and the second season had said that it was the final one. nothing thril;led me more on Saturdays to see the the show and i could talk about it for days. i am trly gonna miss it but i will not rest until i find out if there will be another channel it will be on and that it airs again!!

    I am also terribly upset.  I love this show. I wish I would’ve caught it when it was on : (  I hope someone decides it’s worth putting it back.
