What did you think of tonight’s episode of COMMUNITY, “Contemporary American Poultry”? I thought it was Streets Ahead (oh, how i love me some Pierce)! Seriously though, I loved the show tonight. The Goodfella’s theme was one of the coolest things they’ve ever done on the show. I loved watching Abed get drunk with power. I also liked tonight’s show because it was relatable. I think almost every school cafeteria had that one special day a week where students would run to get the hot item. In my high school it was nacho day – I swear there was crack in that cheese. Did your school have anything similar?
My favorite line from “Contemporary American Poultry” was during Abed’s narration when he said “That’s when we stopped being a family and started being a family…in italics”. I also loved the scenes illustrating the groups’ rise to power with Abed’s narration. A couple of my favorite moments included Annie’s robot dance and the gang jackets. I don’t know about you, but I felt a little bad for Starburns. Did you think what they did to Starburns was cruel, or was it justified?
The only part I didn’t like about tonight’s show is how Abed turned on everybody towards the end. He’s such a nice guy, and I found it hard to believe that even Goodfellas’ Abed was capable of doing what he did to his friends. For example what he did to poor Britta’s hair was unacceptable (although I thought she looked cute in her hat)! Also, what happened to poor Annie’s Boobs??!
Overall I’d put “Contemporary American Poultry” in my top 5 of the season. What did you think? For me something that would have made it even better would have been to have more Senior Chang, other than that, it gets an A+ from me!
