WARNING!! Stop reading here if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode. So without further ado, here are the Dexter “The Getaway” Season 4 Finale Major Spoilers:

- Dexter steals all of Trinity’s Money which pisses Trinity off.
- Debra finds out that Dexter is the brother of the Ice Truck Killer
- After one failed attempt, Dexter manages to corner and kill Trinity
- After getting home, Dexter finds that Trinity has killed Rita (I know, right)

Episode Synopsis: DEXTER Season 4 Finale “The Getaway” (Season 4 Episode 12) – As the noose tightens, Arthur warns Dexter to back off. But Dexter will do anything to stop Trinity from eluding him, even if that means putting himself on the wrong side of the law. Rita acknowledges the rocky relationship she and Dexter share, but reaffirms her support. Batista and LaGuerta face the consequences of their actions. Debra unearths a deeply-hidden truth, but not one she expected to find. And ultimately, Dexter and Arthur find themselves on a collision course, leading them to a confrontation that will change their lives forever.

The entire season was by far the biggest roller coaster ride of em all. The highs of course didnt match that of the previous seasons, But with that said it didnt disapoint by a long shot. The next season can of course go more than one way. I sincerly hope they decide to continue.

Spoilers:

Now the fact they killed off Rita wasnt what i expected. Without Rita Dexter has the posibility of reverting back to when the passenger was in control. Id like to think He will take care of the kids and his son. If not Cody and Astor at least his own.

All in all CANT wait for next season.

Ever since i started watching dexter i have been fairly happy but this season finale really pissed me off. Did they really have to kill rita off it just makes me so angry…

The producers and the writers have all said that it was not a dream. Rita is actually dead. I couldn’t believe it at first. My breath caught in my chest and I couldn’t get it out for a good 5 minutes. The beginning of the episode though, was like any other episode just with a little more tension. At the end of the day… that was probably the best season finale of any show I’ve ever seen. The ending was explosive. I cannot wait to see where the fifth season goes. 5 stars
