So what did you think of tonight’s episode of THE OFFICE “The Promotion”?
I thought this was maybe the best one so far this season. It was great watching the new dynamic between Jim and Michael, and how it even evolved over the course of the episode. The part with them drinking gin out of the boss mugs was the best.
Jim even had a few cringe worthy moments there that I wasn’t expecting. I’m talking mainly about the part where he rewinded himself. Ouch. Here are some of my favorite quotes from tonight:
Kelly: “I’d have to go with LC, Heidi is a bad friend and her skin is terrible”

Creed: “Why haven’t we ever…”
Meredith: “We have”

Michael: “Sometimes the smartest people don’t think at all”

Kevin: “In the memo line I’m going to write ‘to love’s eternal glory’…wait till Monday

Michael: They all have heart-ons for you

I was not at all impressed by manager Jim. Why would you tell everyone to stop what they’re doing so you can tell them they aren’t getting raises? I thought the only person capable of doing something that stupid would be Michael. He should have spoken to people individually, or at least pulled them all in a conference room and not have made it sound like such a huge deal. Although, the staff did act pretty out of order. Is it really that big of deal to not get a 1.5% raise or whatever it was? I don’t know about you but that wouldn’t make a difference to my paycheck.
Dwight’s “revolt” scene was awesome….”tick”……”tock”…LOL. He hasn’t been as quotable this season, but I’ve still enjoyed him. I love that Pam was asking everyone for money for her wedding. I think that’s something that most people want to do but never have the guts to.
Lastly, I’m happy that Michael had some more positive moments tonight. He’s been getting on my nerves for the past couple episodes and he redeemed himself a little in “The Promotion”. The previews for next week’s show looks awesome. I can’t wait to see the wedding!
