New TV on DVD Releases for the Week of September 29 2009

CSI: NY (The Complete Fifth Season)

Synopsis: CSI: New York, the third incarnation of the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation franchise and the spin-off of CSI: Miami, is a crime drama about forensic investigators who use high-tech science to follow the evidence and solve crimes in The Big Apple. Joining them is homicide Detective Don Flack, an edgy, hardcore investigator with a quick wit, impressive forensic insight and limited patience with potential suspects. Rounding out the team is Aiden Burn, a smart and sexy investigator whose chameleon-like behavior allows her to adapt to any situation at any time. These skilled investigators, who see New York City in a whole different light, follow the evidence as they piece together clues and eliminate doubt to ultimately crack their cases.

How I Met Your Mother (The Legendary Season 4)

Kings (The Complete Series)

Life on Mars (The Complete Series)

Synopsis: The series revolves around Sam Tyler, a modern-day police detective who, after a car crash, mysteriously finds himself transported back to 1973 and still working as a detective.

The Unit (Season 4)

Synopsis: Known only as “The Unit,” this ultra-secret contingent of Special Forces soldiers operate outside the usual military chain of command. Their wives, who are also in on the secret, strictly adhere to a fictitious cover story that is provided for them. “The Unit” chronicles a team of unknown heroes who, without ever receiving credit, risk their lives while protecting others.
