GLEE “Preggers” Review Episode 4

After last week’s hilarious episode of Glee, I wasn’t surprised when it was announced this week that Fox picked it up for a full season. Last week I was laughing out loud (Who’s Josh Groban? Kill yourself!) but this week’s episode was a bit more serious.

Watching Kurt lie to his dad to hide the fact that he’s gay was so sad, but at least there was a happy ending. I really didn’t expect his dad to take him coming out so well, but of course he already knew. How awesome was Kurt’s Single Ladies dance? Complete with sequined gloved, natch. At first I thought him joining the football team was just ridiculous, but it ended up being really funny. The entire team dancing to Single Ladies on the field was hilarious!

Also on the serious side was Finn finding out that Quinn is pregnant. Though I can’t help but giggle at the president of the celibacy club getting knocked up. I just can’t believe he’s buying her story about getting pregnant via the hot tub. I know he’s supposed to be a dumb jock, but come on. I’m just not happy about this storyline because watching her lie to Finn is going to annoy me. I know this because watching Terri lie to Will about being pregnant is super annoying. Now it looks like Terri and Quinn are going to be in cahoots and I just don’t like where this is going. I’d like to think that Puck will confess to being the father, but he’s such a jerk that I doubt it.

After last week’s awesome performances of Poison and I Wanna Sex You Up by the Acafellas, I was hoping for more great music. Rachel doing the Celine Dion song and Tina signing Tonight from West Side Story were really the only two performances in this episode and both were too short. Watching the glee club perform is my favorite part of the show, so I was disappointed not to see them sing together this week. Rachel quitting over not getting to sing the West Side Story song wasn’t that surprising. She’s talented but she needs to get over herself!

I can’t wait until next week when the amazingly talented Kristin Chenoweth guest stars. I’m a big fan of hers and I think it’ll be a great Glee episode.
