Lately there have been lots of new webseries popping up everywhere and so I thought I would share a few that I have come across. Up first is TheWB.com’s THE LAKE.
The Lake is the story of four families who have spent each summer together at the fictional Lake Eleanor. Even though they only spend the summer together, the characters do have some history with each other. When the show starts, Olivia Harris, an outsider, comes to spend the summer with her aunt at Lake Eleanor. She soon meets the other teenagers there for the summer. And as you can imagine, romance, friendship, scandal, betrayal and heartbreak ensues.
The Lake is your typical CW teenage show in the vein of 90210 and Melrose Place (the new one). So if you enjoy those, you might want to give it a shot. I thought it was better than I expected, but if I’m being honest I haven’t watched more than 4 episodes. That said it might be a fun show to catch if you have some time to spare.
Another fun fact is that it is directed by Jason Priestley (Beverly Hills, 90210, 90210).
