TENNIS STAR ANDY RODDICK TO VISIT CBS’s “LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN,” THURSDAY, AUG. 27

Roddick, in His First Late Night Talk Show Interview Since Wimbledon , Will Also Participate in Outdoor Tennis Demonstration During the Broadcast

NEW YORK , Aug. 25 — Tennis star Andy Roddick will visit the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Thursday, Aug. 27 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Roddick, who will be competing in the 2009 U.S. Open Tennis Championships at Flushing Meadows, N.Y., will also participate in a tennis demonstration outside the Ed Sullivan Theater during the broadcast. This will be his first late night talk show interview since his epic match in July against Roger Federer in the Wimbledon men’s final and will mark his second visit to the LATE SHOW. He last appeared on the broadcast Sept. 8, 2003, after winning the 2003 U.S. Open Tennis Men’s title. CBS Sports’ coverage of this year’s U.S. Open Tennis Championships begins Monday, Aug. 31.

Also visiting the LATE SHOW Thursday will be talk show host and chef Rachael Ray and musical guests Mute Math. The LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN is a production of Worldwide Pants Incorporated. Barbara Gaines, Matt Roberts, Jude Brennan, Maria Pope and Rob Burnett are the executive producers.
