EUREKA is back after what felt like an eternity this Friday, July 10 on SyFy Channel (9-10 p.m. ET) with a new episode “Welcome Back Carter”. I had the opportunity to review this episode in advance and here are my thoughts on it.
In “Welcome Back Carter”, Carter is still out of a job as sheriff and Deputy Lupo is facing some job challenges of her own, mainly the fact that she has a new boss who just happens to be a robot.
The story in this episode is classic Eureka. It’s fun and light, especially in the scenes the robot sheriff is visibly outshining Carter in some ways. Don’t expect any big mysteries though. Just a straightforward Eureka style story from beginning to end.
The characters are as quirky and fun as usual but I would lie if there is anything to write home about.
Overall, “Welcome Back Carter” is like any other Eureka episode with its signature technology driven storylines and funny dialogues. Very predictable but also wicked fun if you are into this show, which I happen to be into big time.
