Last night the top 14 performed on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5 and I do have to apologize for only posting the review now (some technical problems, that I won’t get too much into).

Choreography: Brian Friedman
Music: “Creator” by Santigold
Thoughts: First of all I LOVE this song, I actually have it in my car right now, so that’s already a positive thing. And I thought the performance was so AWESOME and I loved that the choreography really was on the beat of the music.
Rating: 4/4

Melissa Sandvig & Ade ObayomiBallet Pas de Deux

Choreography: Thordal Christensen
Music: “Romeo & Juliet Prokofiev’s Suite No. 1 Op. 64b, 6th Movement” by Orchestre De La Suisse Romande & Armin Jordan
Thoughts: I don’t know, I have mixed feelings about this one. First of all the fact that the only ballet dancer, picks the first ballet dance on SYTYCD sounds a little fishy to me, but I can get over that. The other thing is that while I used to like watching ballet, it’s not that exciting to me anymore. It was just ok for me.
Rating: 2/4

Karla Garcia & Vitolio JeuneQuick Step

Choreography: Jean Marc Genereux
Music: “Puttin’ On The Ritz” by Rufus Wainwright
Thoughts: I thought it was an ok routine and performance. Wasn’t blown away, but didn’t hate it either.
Rating: 3/4
