Adrianne Palicki Heading Back To SUPERNATURAL

According to the Ausiello Files, Adrianne Palicki is heading back to the CW’s SUPERNATURAL in the role of Jessica, Sam’s dead girlfriend.

Adrianne Palicki is currently playing the part of Tyra on Friday Night Lights. As Tyra, Adrianne has proven that she has the chops to be a great actress with a lot of depth and intensity. Although Supernatural might be on the lighter side of things (let’s be honest, it’s not meant to be intense drama), it is safe to say that her casting will be a welcome addition to the show.

As things stand today, Adrianne Palicki is only slated for one episode early in the season. Hopefully we will see more of her.

Obviously you are not much of a Supernatural watcher. If so, you would know that calling it “light” or not “intense drama”, is the exact opposite of what fans and critics who watch it have known for 4 years now. It makes about as much sense as saying the same thing about any CSI’s, Law And Order, and anything else. The show is pretty dark(with humor here and there), and rarely is ever light. The family and brotherly drama is deep, dark, and intense. Then again, you would have to actually watch it to know that. What a slap in the face to such brilliant writing, directing, and acting. Then again, I guess you can’t be considered in the heady heights of others shows if it’s not about doctors, lawyers, and cops.

I think that you misunderstood my words.

I didn’t mean to belittle a show that I actually like, nor did I want to imply that Supernatural had poor writing or characters. I only meant to express my opinion of how I felt about the show.

So what if I think that it is not intense drama? Does that mean that I don’t like the show. Obviously not. I actually watch the show but I just happen to have a different perspective about it than you do.
