ABC’s LIFE ON MARS Cancelled

I just finished watching the 3-30-09 episode of Life on Mars and was shocked to see the previews for next week which said “Series Finale”. This is the first show in a very long time that I have truly looked forward to watching and I am beyond words to describe how disappointed I am that it has been cancelled. I sure hope that those who made this decison will somehow be able to reconsider, however that doesn’t seem likely since I’m sure there will be closure in the finale. I think this is a fantastic show with tons of great talent. Hats off to the cast…Life on Mars will be missed.

ABC drop the ball, this was my top 10 show on TV.. I just love the set and it takes place in NYC.. not in LA set.. Im really sad to see this show go off the air. I love the cast, the set, the clothes and music.

ABC bring it back, come on……

Life on Mars had a fantastic cast and I loved this show. I really looked forward to watching and was also shocked yesterday. The trend is some of the good shows get cancelled and other crapy ones stay forever.Nielson takes their sample audience and charges big bucks for their results which are not as accurate as they say.For this show they got it wrong. Great show. Well they give us Lost which is great.I would like to speak to the abc executives and ask them really why they cancelled.not enough millions watching for their advertisers. Oh wait, they probably don’t speak to us individual viewers. They should have to run for office and be elected by viewers like us and be fired by us if they make too many bad cancellations. Sorry folks who like Medium my 86 year old mom watches Medium and she probabky doesn’t pay attention to commercials,Two and a half men sill on? WOWetc,dtc, some of the garbage that is on makes me sick. Step it up overpaid execs, keep Life on Mars and shut down the crap shows please .Their replacement The Unusuals better be good. Another cop show and I don’t care how unusual it gets, still boring.Need back Life on Mars,Does anyone remember Moonlight cancelled by cbs What?

Please bring this show back, I loved it ,The season finale was superb!!!!.You already took away October Road! Eli Stone! Why do you people keep doing this dumb stuff? You create great shows like this for only 1 or 2 seasons,I am so sick and tired of these reality shows!!! We need to be uplifted, shows like this somehow keep our minds off the harsh realities of the day, Thank You- you will be hearing more from me ABC if you keep making these mistaKES!!!!

I did not read about the cancelation of “Life n Mars” until after the finale. I was wondering which decade the next season would start out in. I will sure miss this, the only series I looked forward to each week and have told lots of people to start watching it next year, but what a disappointment to realize it’s all over. You should have waited for more of the audience to find it.

I was very disappointed to hear after the last show that it was canceled, I love this show it is one of the only ones that I look forward to watch every week. I felt like I couldn’t miss an episode, much how I felt when Grey’s first came out. You took October road away, and I loved that show, please keep Life On Mars, with the crap that’s on now I’m not sure what I’m left to watch,very sad!!

Very few shows make it into my DVR, LOM was one of them. I loved the originality of the idea. Another quality show not given a chance!!!

I got into this show mainly because it came on after lost. Every week I became more intrigued by the show. I feel like it could have eventually took the place of lost when it ends. I think that it is a great show and a big mistake was made by canceling this show. The show that replaced Life on Mars is crap and sucks. It does not even come close to life on mars. The person who made this decission messed up big time and should be fired.

Plus the ending made no sense.They main couple didn’t even end up together. No closure.

Count me as one of those who loved Life on Mars. Boo to ABC execs for cancelling the only interesting and decent show on TV this year.

I just watched the final Life on Mars (DVR’d). How sad! I have not looked forward to a show in a long, long while. TV is stuffed to the max with ridiculous reality shows, and here was something different. I loved the cast, I loved the premise — so many people I know loved it!

I “get” that reality shows are obviously inexpensive to produce, as opposed to any show with such a wonderful cast a ACTORS. But if people don’t look forward to television, AT ALL…..where does that leave the future of TV????

I don’t know if any actors actually frequent boards like this….but if there is a chance — know that you guys “rocked it”. The show was fun, exciting, and did what tv was MEANT to do: take us out of our reality. I wish you all the best – and if there is a “chance” that LOM will be back….I’ll be there.

I still can’t believe it’s over. Life on Mars was the best show on TV, since October Road and even that they took away. Who are these a-holes that decide what stays and what goes. Why not ask the people that watch TV, not the ones that sit behind a desk on their big fat a**es. They make stupid decisions that affect the very people that the shows were intended forand whyo hep pay their big salaries. We get involved in these shows and the lifes of the people on the show. We wait each week for “Our Show” to come on so we can see whats gonna happen in their lives tonight.I am getting so sick and tired of the big wigs playing with my emotions I could scream. I think I or We, should start a organization together to stop “Them” from deciding what we want or don’t want on TV. I am also totally sick of reality shows. They take off great shows to put on s**t. There has to be something we can do. I signed all those damn petitions and wrote letters to bring back October Road or at the very least, give us a series finale to tie up loss ends. It all fell on deaf ears, the network didn’t even acknowledge all of us. I swear I’m gonna look into starting a coalition to stop them. Anybody got my back????

Well in the tradition on October road, The Black Donnellys, Jericho, Firefly, The 4400, Deadwood, Rome, and Carnival, you cancel a great show with a great cast. I know logically why you canceled it. It was a business decision. It doesn’t pull in 10 billion viewers like American Idol or Dancing with the Stars, but GD when did people become so stupid. I would need a lobotomy to enjoy most of the television that is out there today. It seems like every time I find a television show that be comes one of my favorites it gets canceled and replaced by something horrible. If it wasn’t for Lost, I wouldn’t watch anything on ABC.

I just found out that they canceled Life on Mars. Wow, my husband and I both looked forward to each weeks show. We have been waiting for the new season to start but now I find out it won’t.

The cast was great, the story line was interesting not to mention the fun we had seeing the 70′s come back to life. We refuse to watch the reality junk shows that most stations play so your decision to cancel this great series has limited our viewing choices…I do know that we probably won’t be watching any ABC shows.

Please, please, please, bring back Life on Mars!!!!!!!!

This show was a refreshing alternative to all the garbage on TV these days. Well written, well acted, just an all around great show.

Since no one has e-mailed in a while…… I wanted to let Abc (which must stand for Abnormal Brainless Condition) that fans of L.O.M. Want our show back. Decision makers at ABC must be god damn idiots.
