THE STARTER WIFE Cancelled by USA

Having to give out bad news to fans of shows is never fun, but we gotta do it. And so the latest victim in the cancellation category is USA’s original series, THE STARTER WIFE.

According to Michael Ausiello, USA has decided not to renew the show which only averaged 2.4 million viewers during its first season.

I personally really enjoyed The Starter Wife and am kind of sad to see it go. What about you guys? Are you going to miss The Starter Wife or is it good riddance?

    Yes, going to *really* miss the show! I liked it a lot, and it was just starting to get interesting again. I only watched it online though, so maybe that’s one of their problems?
    TV networks focus tooo much on the day-of ratings, and need to take into consideration the masses that are viewing their entertainment in other places. I have got hooked on more shows by watching them online, then I ever did watching them on TV.

    I am so upset!!!! There are very few shows we all like to watch and this was one of them. We only discovered it last summer when there was a tv marathon. I hope someone out there decides to pick it up. It was a fantastic hour of fun. Amy

    So disappointed. I love this show and cannot believe they are canceling it. They didn’t even advertise it at all and if they did I am sure they would have hit their viewer quota. If another channel were to pick it up the fans would follow religiously. Its one of the best shows on TV with new idea, no a detective/cop show or hospital show. LAME!!

    I am very upset and disappointed. It seems the networks always keep the worst shows and cancel the best ones. I don’t unnderstand nor agree with USA’s move on this one. I hope some other network will pick this up. If not, I will truly miss it.
