LOST “The Little Prince” Review (Season 5 Episode 4)

What did you think of last night’s episode of LOST “The Little Prince”?

I knew Jin was alive! In your face everyone who doubted my theory! I thought it was funny how they found him floating on a piece of wood…very Titanic. I wonder if he shared a tender “never let go” moment with Michael just before watching him fall to the bottom of the ocean? Something that I didn’t see coming was that he’d be rescued by a young Danielle Rousseau and her French posse! It was sort of cool seeing how they got to the island, I wonder if Jin will time warp again or if they’ll expand more on the story? He needs to warn them all to get the f off the island. From what I remember all of Rousseau’s peeps end up getting sick and dying (maybe off the same thing that’s giving everyone nose bleeds now).

Speaking of the weird nose bleed thing. I was sort of happy when Charlotte and Miles started getting sick. I don’t really like either of them. All Charlotte does is complain and Miles is sort of a tool. He’s like Sawyer but without the looks or the cute nicknames for people. What I was curious about, is when Faraday said the people that have been there the longest are getting sick first. Have Charlotte and Miles been there before?

What I’d love to see, is them go back in time to the origins of the black rock or the statue with only 4 toes. Also, they haven’t gone back to that moment in episode one where we see Faraday back in time with the Darma folks? I hope they explain that one soon.

Another theory I may be correct about is Sun being evil. So far it looks certain that she’s been working with Charles Widmore, having Jack followed, and in the last scene she has Aaron in the back seat of her car and she’s approaching the group with a gun. Dun Dun Dun. I think Ben’s going to convince her that Jin is alive before she does anything stupid. He’ll really stop at nothing to get what he wants, even if it’s taking Aaron away from Kate.

I was so happy to see Jin alive last night! I really thought he was dead. I agree that Sun is kinda evil now. I was half expecting her to kidnap Aaron because I don’t think she has really forgiven Kate for not getting Jin onto the helicopter.

When we saw Sawyer watching Kate deliver Aaron it gave me an idea. What if the whispers they always hear in the jungle are the time traveling Losties?

I like that theory Kristen! I’m wondering what happens if someone tries to change or interfere with the timeline? From “The Constant” we know that the timeline corrects itself when Desmond tried to change it, but it also allowed him to tell Penny when to expect a phone call from him. So what happens if one of the time bouncing Losties decides to talk to someone at the wrong point in the timeline? Very very cool!

1. I wouldn’t understand how Jin would not be time traveling? He has travelled to the same places as the rest.
2. Yes, Jin being alive isn’t to surprising, but there is no way he would have talked to Micheal, he blew up.
3. I heard they were going to tell Danielle’s story, so that wasn’t surprising, however i like how they are going about it.
4. He may warn, but nothing will change, no one but desmond can change the past/future.
5. Danielle’s group does not time travel like everyone else, time travel is what is causing the nose bleeding.
6. The black rock, the four toed statue, faraday with dharma, and Charlotte and Miles past will all be explained somehow, whether briefly or part of the larger story.

…going back to Danielle’s group getting nose bleeds, i apologize, that might work out. If the ‘sickness’ Danielle speaks of is time travel because they entered the island from the sea. The only way that makes sense though is if Danielle did the same thing as Desmond in the Constant. Because why would everyone but Danielle get sick? And if so, why did she not mention it, though, considering she is kinda nuts, it might work that way.

Hello peeps,

Firstly this season is amazing so far! Although some things have started to nit pick at me. Firstly in “The little prince” when they were getting chased by the other boat, why when the flash happened, did the boat they were on travel too? The other one disappeared with the other people, maybe this is just a mistake OR more interestingly, can the losties bring things through time by touching it? I dont know but it has been on my mind.

Secondly, where are the polar bears and black gas, they said everything on the show would be explained scientifically, and yes time travel may just be possible, but a black gas that kills the best character ever? I want to know more!

…. oh and I was thinking the same as Kristen, maybe the ‘others’ are actual sawyer, locke etc. Maybe there the ones that abduct claire when she is pregnant ? A good spin I think!

Wow tom, good idea about claire, maybe that’s why her dad shows up to, time travel? Also things they touch do go with them, remember when Richard gave Locke something and it went with him.

Loved your commentary Amie. I love this web site. I enjoy reading everyone’s take on it. I’m worried about Sun also. They gotta get Hurley out of jail and out of that awful prison uniform.

They will just explain the boat traveling with them as, whatever is with us, connected to us goes with us. Such as clothes, guns, ect.

And I have a feeling that the pillar of smoke is something connected really close to the main mystery of the island, something they don’t want to give away just yet.
