DIRTY SEXY MONEY Cancelled – It is Official

It is official! DIRTY SEXY MONEY is cancelled.

According to the LA Times Blog, ABC President of Entertainment Steve McPherson told the executive producers of “Dirty Sexy Money” that the show was going to be cancelled.

The show will officially get to finish the 13-episode that were initially ordered. Here is the story:

It’s a given: breaking up is hard to do, especially when it’s not mutual.

But does it have to be this complicated? It’s been one wacky afternoon in TV Land. ABC President of Entertainment Steve McPherson has been busy calling the executive producers of “Pushing Daisies,” “Dirty Sexy Money” and “Eli Stone” to let them down gently about their shows coming to an end.

Except that McPherson didn’t use the crass “You’re canceled” terms and instead talked in soft, loving terms about his appreciation for the shows, despite the fact that he was not ordering more episodes. Other ABC officials said the door was left open for a possible reconciliation, but the producers clearly interpreted the conversations differently.

dirty sexy money was an awesome show – i was waiting for the next episode but … damn to find this news??! what are you crazy ABC!!! what the hell is wrong with you – dirty sexy money is the best show out of many that has come out in recent years. this is a like a relationship with a hot vacation friend that ends too quickly for unknown reasons… the ones you think.. what if, what would’ve happened!!!!!!??????????

Can’t believe Dirty Sexy Money was cancelled!!! It was the best show on TV! Did ABC sabotge this show? They would have to be crazy!!!! None of their other shows are near as good as this show! Except Boston Legal which they cancelled too! Stupid! Stupid!! Stupid!!!

dirty sexy money was the best tv show ever i cant explain to my self how this could ever happen, this is totally a disaster it’s really a crazy thing to do for the ABC REPUTASION every one i know is very disaponted, we live in a very small island in the mediteranean that it’s called Malta and still 70% of this place where very afecinated by this tv show was the best show ever that abc television could ever done, regards Antonella from MALTA

You have to be kidding! Although this was definitely an adult show, it was on late enough to not get into the family viewing times. This was AT LEAST as good as Brothers and Sisters and Desperate Housewives (we also watch these shows with some irregularity). If Dirty Sexy Money would have recieved the advertising that the other two do, even half as much, it would certainly still be on. Is it that it was too close to the truth regarding politics and the money people? Well guess what, the truth regarding the slime that is politics and money people is well known to John Q. Public. I thought that writers did an admirable job of trying to make more of “a silk purse out of a sow’s ear” without making them out to be saints. The powers that be certainly missed the boat on this decision! Thanks for showing us that TV can be close to the truth and for reassurring us that TRUTH gets you CANCELLED not atta boys like it should. Can’t wait to see the trashy drivvle that you replace this ICON with.

Are you kidding me about Dirty Sexy Money? I heard it had been canceled, then a few new episodes show up!!??? Did I just watch the series finale on tivo? Freakin’ figures – I love this show – smart dialogue, entertaining story lines, a little cotton candy for the brain….and it gets canceled. This was a GREAT show….I NEVER saw advertising for this show. Not all of us like watching all the “reality” drivel that is on the air these days. Thanks a lot ABC – this is crap!

I cant believe ABC cancelled Dirty Sexy Money. By far onr of the best series on tv if not the best. Half of the new series are so stupid and I bet no one really watches them. DSM gets better and better every episode and it was just getting really really good then they cancel it. Its just like when NBC cancelled Las Vegas just getting really good and then they cancel the show. I really cant believe another network didn’t pick up the show. CRAZY !! NOT HAPPY!

I can’t believe this show is cancelled. It was awesome, so intense and exciting. It was something everyone talked about at the office. Come on ABC help us out here. Good entertainment is hard to find! We all really loved Cashmere Mafia too!!

A phenomenal show that showed how life can be twisted and complicated for wealthy families! I loved every aspect of the show and I would say it was a foolish decision to kill a golden goose. This was the show I could relate my self to and was able to find solutions for problems in my own life. Viewers have cunsistanly grown over the time and it was watched more and more.

I am so disappointed to here that Dirty Sexy Money was cancelled. I just found out and I am in shock!! I went to see when the new season was going to start only to find this out instead, ABC IS CRAZY, that show kept me wanting more and I didn’t even get to see the last four episodes that aired because I had no idea that they even came on. The show was great from the beginning, see it all got messed up when they had that writers strike cause the show only had been on for a few weeks, then when it came back on the next year people had just started getting into the show, Can’t another TV Station pick up the show and continue?????????

its 4th august 2010, got to know about this show 2 weeks ago! loved it, completed it today! COME ON, there should be a season 3, it doesnt matter how late it is, but please another season 3. more of Nick and Keran, and the Twins! …xxxxx

ABC family loves cancelling good shows. Just like they canceled Kyle XY, now they’re doing it to other good shows. From now on, I don’t think I’ll ever watch ABC shows ever again, not that I’m being childlish or anything, it’s just that I don’t want to start watching a show that’ll probably be canceled anyway.

I agree with everybody, this is really unfair to all the fans and viewers. I just finished watching all 11 episodes on hulu and sure enough to my surprise their were no more episodes..? How funny, so I looked it up and sure enough DSM was cancelled, wow. At least ABC could auction DSM to other networks so we can enjoy the TV show and finish where we left off.
