TESTEES “Pilot” (Season 1 Episode 1) Early Review Don’t Bother

Testees - Jeff Kassel as Ron and Steve Markle as Peter

You know something is pretty bad when it’s a half hour show, and after 15 minutes it feels like you’ve been watching this for an hour, and you can’t wait for it to end. That’s sort of how TESTEES‘ series premiere episode felt to me.

I’m usually a big fan of all of FX’s series, but this one I just don’t get. I laughed only once and it was the part that was shown in promos, so that’s not saying much.

I was so excited about Testees, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectations at all. Another show that is off my schedule, and I cannot recommend you to watch it either. Just stick with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia for some good laughs.

Are you kidding? This is the funniest show I have seen in years.

Get off your high horse and go watch another boring csi or courtroom puke u drama and leave us to laugh till tears come to our eyes at the silliness and raw humor that this show brought.

Philly is funny, but this is much better!

Well, Mike, everybody is entitled to their opinions. And just because I didn’t find Testees funny doesn’t mean that I only watch procedurals. I’m just glad that Testees at least made laugh some people.

Yeah… Testees is hilarious! Herfume and Vac Attack are the greatest IMO so far.

The first couple episodes were not that funny but this show has grown into greatness. I currently still put sunny above it, but being that sunny’s last season was not nearly as great as the old seasons testees is threatening to pass it up on my favorite show meter. The last 2 episodes were sooo hilarious. And they were not just based on immature fart jokes as every review puts the shows off as. The last episodes actually had their clever parts. Any review ripping on sunny or testees has no foresight as to where comedy or at least sitcoms are headed. In a way I guess television has completely taken over the comedy genre considering there have not been funny movies in a couple years. Any way, testees is great, sunny was better, but has lost it a bit. They need to let rob or charlie write the episodes again. They obviously took in some producers thinking they would make something good become more popular. But if they just let it be it would have become popular on its own. Silly FX

Testees is the only show I watch on ONDemand cable. I’m not a reality TV or game show person, so I may not meet the typical demographic of male, early forties, but I think it’s original and brilliant.
I don’t think I’ve laughed out loud watching television in years!

this is one of the few shows that can actually make me laugh out loud. Not sure what your problem with this show is since it cleverly plays with both slapstick comedy and clever dialogue as well as shockingly ridiculous situations. All in all one of my favorite new shows.

I think the people who dismiss it as crude humor must be missing the hilarious banter back and forth. I mean even the first episode was great with the apparent pregnancy and all. So many hilarious and clever little moments and the characters are very likeable in their own bizarre way. Plus many of the situations are quite intiguing such as the truth serum nearly destroying their friendship.

I think the reviewer was absolutely correct in saying “this is one I just dont get.” Its a great show, you just dont get it. But to each his own i suppose.

Testees is incredibly funny. The husband wife thing they have going on makes these characters so entertaining.
