Giveaway: WHEN WE LEFT EARTH 4-Disc DVD

Image Entertainment has just released a 4-disc set of When We Left Earth â€“ The Nasa Missions on DVD. You can see three clips below.

Synopsis: Since the dawn of mankind, we have stared up at the lights in the sky and wondered… Now join the heroic men and women who have dared the impossible on some of the greatest adventures ever undertaken – the quest to reach out beyond Earth and into the great unknown of space! To celebrate 50 years of incredible achievements, the Discovery Channel has partnered with NASA to reveal the epic struggles, tragedies and triumphs in a bold chapter of human history. Along with the candid interviews of the people who made it happen, hundreds of hours of never-before-seen film footage from the NASA archives – including sequences on board the actual spacecraft in flight – have been carefully restored, edited and compiled for this landmark collection.

My parents met in the early days of space program while dad was crew chief on a C-130 doing space support and mom worked at the local Satellite Beach hangout for the original astronauts. 2 decades later, as a teen, I flew down to FL from MI to be youngest accredited press photographer covering first space shuttle launch. NASA history is in my blood and these awesome shows would get lots of play here!

Half of my family would be in my living room if i won this! My brother has always loved the sky and anything in it,,lol..he passed that love right along to my son darrell,now 25 and 2 grandsons ,billy and kolby age 2 and 6.My brother comes down to our house(live in the country) where the view is not disturbed all the time with his telescope.The boys then get their smaller one and outside they go!Billy at age 6,can point out to you a lot of the things in space now and is oh so proud of each new constellation he learns.(top in his class too)Eclipse’s,planets appearing closer to earth, and meteor showers are a special occasion around here.If it has to do with the sky,they are in it!I would dearly love to win this for all of them to enjoy!

I’ve been fascinated with the space program since I was a little girl. My mom said she woke me up to watch the moon landing, and even though I don’t remember it, I think it must have put the idea in my mind that the space program is important and meaningful. That’s why I’d love to see this DVD.
