Review: AMERICAN IDOL “Top 7 Performs”

Tonight on AMERICAN IDOL Season 7, the performances were all Mariah Carey songs.

I think that Simon was right when he said that the guys would have an advantage because they won’t be compared to the original.

Let’s find out how everybody did:

1. David Archuleta

Thoughts: I like David Archuleta but I wasn’t that excited about his performance. Am I hearing something different than the judges because I just thought it was ok, but not the one to beat of the night.

2. Carly Smithson

Thoughts: Carly was ok. I still have the same problem with her that I have every week, I don’t really feel anything coming from her.

3. Syesha Mercado

Thoughts: I had a feeling Syesha would do good tonight, and like I always say, the girl can sing. She did really good.

4. Brooke White

Thoughts: Brooke White was just ok. Her voice wasn’t really powerful enough for the song and I think she wasn’t confident enough while performing.

5. Kristy Lee Cook

Thoughts: You know what, I really liked Kristy Lee Cook tonight. I think she has a better voice than Carly actually.

6. David Cook

Thoughts: Best of the night!!! If David Cook doesn’t win the competition then I don’t get it. Although even if he does get eliminated, he is going to have a great career.

7. Jason Castro

Thoughts: Second best of the night. What is wrong with Randy? How can he not like Jason’s performance? Jason and David Cook ruled the night!

So who’s going to be in the bottom three?

Well, seeing how wrong I and everybody was about the last elimination, nothing is guaranteed, but here is who I would put in the bottom three:

Carly Smithson, Kristy Lee Cook, and Syesha Mercado
