CHUCK as a Comic Book March 20, 2008 Chuck, News io9 reports that DC Comics announced that they are going to publish a six issue mini-series comic book spin-off of NBC’s TV show, CHUCK. The Chuck comic book will be written by Zev Barow (writer for Chuck) and Peter Johnson (executive producer), and will be illustrated by Jeremy Haun. And when should we except this Chuck comic book? It is scheduled to launch in June. Here is what the solicitation for the first issue says: The hit NBC television series comes to comics as Chuck Bartowski and his friends are about to take the world by storm—literally! From series co-executive producer Peter Johnson (Supernatural: Rising Son) and series writer Zev Borow joined with artists Jeremy Haun (The Leading Man) and Phil Noto (Jonah Hex) comes an adventure too big for television! In this globe-trotting, action-packed adventure, Chuck will see many exotic locales, dodge numerous bullets, and be tortured by the world’s greatest…tickler? (Source: DC Comics) So what do you say? Does a Chuck comic book sounds like a good idea? I think that there are so many stories that they will be able to tell in the comic book format that they can’t currently do with the TV show. So am I excited for the Chuck comic book? Absolutely. Victoria LOVE this show! So thankful this wasn’t one of the cancellations!
