Wow, Sunday nights is starting to be one of my favorite nights of TV with the great seasons of Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters. I had to mention some of my thoughts from last night’s episodes.
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES – Last night’s episode of Desperate Housewives “Now I Know, Don’t Be Scared†was not only another great episode in this so far great new season of Desperate Housewives, but it had one of the most powerful scenes we have seen in the show so far:
Lynette finding out her cancer is gone. Felicity Huffman was absolutely amazing, her reaction when they tell her was breathtaking. I really hope she gets nominated next year for her performance, because wow!
BROTHERS & SISTERS – Last night’s episode of Brothers and Sisters “Two Places” is also worth mentioning if only for the Kitty storyline. It was such a heartbreaking story when she finds out the her child is dead. I don’t think I have seen something like that on TV before. All the emotions she must have felt. It was such a sweet moment when she asks her mom, Nora, to stay with her a while. It absolutely broke my heart.
I also want to mention Robert McCallister’s reaction to the whole thing. When he expresses everything he is feeling inside and the fact that he hasn’t been able to realize what just happened. I think they did such a great job of conveying all of this to the audience, because as he was saying it, I felt the same way as a viewer because it felt like they moved the storyline along to parallel how the characters are feeling. Brilliant.
Finally, it looks like next week the Justin taking drugs is finally going to come out in the open. Hopefully we get a good payoff for the rushed back into drugs story they gave us.
I didn’t use to love Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters that much, but now I find myself watching both of them pretty much right away.
