Highlander or How “Simple” Rules?

Who wants to live forever? Not me. Although Highlander‘s main theme was immortality, it wasn’t what appealed to me the most. What I love about Highlander is that it was the story of a man trying to go through life following some simple rules:

1. Don’t lose your head
2. Don’t fight on sacred ground
3. There can only be one.

Simple rules that can keep you busy an entire lifetime. You may lose your friends and family but you will always have the rules to fall back on. Follow them and you will always have a purpose in life. And isn’t a purpose in life what we all want?
