SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE – 2 gone, 6 left

This is it, the worst night of the week… Two contestants eliminated tonight, to find out who keep reading.

Opening Number with the top 8 – Props to Shane Sparks, that choreography was brilliant. And Lauren, holy crap, she was so good, I absolutely loved her. If she had danced like that every week she might have been one of my favorites. I totally believed her in her role. She is stepping up.

Tonight everyone is dancing a solo no matter if they are in the bottom two. At this point I just feel everybody is at the same level technically, it’s just a matter of personal taste, so here it goes…

Solos:

SARA VON GILLEM – I just love Sara and have loved her since top 20. She can adapt to anything you throw at her. She truly is a role model for me (and yes I am still working on those push-ups…).

LACEY SCHWIMMER – I understand why so many people love her. She is a very talented girl. I just think that at this point it’s personal taste and I just respond to Sabra and Sara more.

SABRA JOHNSON – I LOVE Sabra. That girl is the cutest thing. She brings so much emotion and joy to her dancing. It’s such a wonderful experience to watch her dance every week.

LAUREN GOTTLEIB – I am not a big fan of Lauren, but again it’s personal taste because she is a good dancer, as she has proven this week, so that’s all I’m going to say about her.

NEIL HASKELL – Again, Neil does amazing jumps, very impressive, but I don’t respond to him as much as I respond to Pasha.

DANNY TIDWELL – Danny has been criticized a lot, but I think he does have amazing technique, I just don’t feel any emotion coming from him. Maybe he’s just not as expressive as other dancers and I think that it’s something he would need to work on to touch me more.

DOMINIC SANDOVAL – Dominic has just a great personality and the chair move was cool! He really impressed me throughout the competition and I have come to really like him. He does amazing movements and I wish I could do half the things he does.

PASHA PKOVALEV – We all know Pasha is my favorite guy in the competition and his solo just reinforced that feeling. How hard is it to move that cape and keep it in the air like that? He is really fit (then again who isn’t fit in this competition?). His solo blew me away, he really went for it.

ELIMINATED:

SARA VON GILLEM and DOMINIC SANDOVAL – Well, this sucks. I would have liked the other bottom two people to go home tonight. My girl Sara is going home… I have liked ever since the first routine in the top 20. Who’s going to motivate me now to keep doing my push-ups?!!!
I am also sad Dominic is gone, but I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. I just wanted Pasha to stay, and he did!

So my favorite dancers now are: Sabra and Pasha. We’ll be back next week with the Top 6.
