Could this be true? Apparently it is. One of my all-time favorite show DEAD LIKE ME is coming back in the form of a made-for-DVD movie. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, Ellen Muth (George on Dead Like Me) has announced on her MySpace page that if the movie does well, there could be hope for the series to come back:
“Just to let all you DLMers out there know that this past week, I have been informed that after this “Dead Like Me” movie comes out, it may, go back to series. After seeing the movie, you’ll have to be the judge of whether or not you like the new concept. Give it a chance. I know we all hate change but it has been two years since season 2 so there has to be evolution.”
Even though Ellen Muth cannot talk about the so-called “new concept” yet, I say since the last one didn’t seem to bring enough of an audience, change might be a good idea.
Ellen Muth also mentions that if Dead Like Me is brought back as a series, it might not be on Showtime. Anything is fine with me as long as we get Dead Like Me back. Plus I feel Showtime didn’t give the show enough of a chance.
The only disappointing thing is that Mandy Patinkin (Rube) will not be returning to the show, obviously because he is working on Criminal Minds. He was my favorite character. That also means no more “peanuts”.
This news couldn’t have come at a better time. I have recently finished watching season one again and have started re-watching season 2. This is great!
For all of you out there who haven’t see Dead Like Me yet, this is your chance to discover a very fun show. And now that you know the show might start again, wouldn’t you want to be part of it?
