Another amazing night of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Did I mention how much I love this show?!
Quick thoughts:
RECAP: (Videos coming up as soon as I can) Update: The videos are up
SARA VON GILLEM & JESUS SOLARIO – Krump
Choreography: Lil C
Music: “It’s Okay (One Blood)” by The Game feat. Junior Reid get it on ![]()
Thoughts: This was AWESOME!!! Not as extreme as real krumping is (I mean did you see the documentary “Rize”, now that’s krumping), but damn those two are good. Another week of being one of my favorite couples. (BTW how much do I love this song?!) Rating: 5/5

SYTYCD – Sarah and Jesus – Top 16 – Krump
SHAUNA NOLAND & CEDRIC GARDINER – Contemporary
Choreography: Mia Michaels
Music: “I Thought We Had” by The Family Stand get it on ![]()
Thoughts: Mia Michaels is a freakin’ genious!!! This routine was absolutely AMAZING. I mean last week I finally realized how good Shauna is, but with this week she proved herself even more. And Cedric, man, that guy is so talented. What a great couple together. They better not be in the bottom three tomorrow. I know the judges said they would be in the bottom three, but I really think they proved themselves worthy of another week tonight. Rating: 4/5

SYTYCD – Shauna and Cedric – Top 16 – Contemporary
LACEY SCHWIMMER & KAMERON BINK – Quickstep
Choreography: Tony Meredith
Music: “Big And Bad” by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy get it on ![]()
Thoughts: They are still one of my favorite couple. Although I was not impressed by the dance, I thought they had a great chemistry and it looked pretty fun. Rating: 3/5
Video:
SYTYCD – Lacey and Kameron – Top 16 – Quickstep
DANNY TIDWELL & ANYA GARNIS – Hip Hop
Choreography: Dan Karaty
Music: “Oh Timbaland” by Timbaland get it on ![]()
Thoughts: Let me start by saying that the choreography was really good, and Danny was really good too. But seriously, homegirl (Anya) got no flava. So far the only girl that was good with hip hop (and that’s excluding Sarah) is Jaimie. Rating: 2/5
Video:
SYTYCD – Anya and Danny – Top 16 – Hip Hop
SABRA JOHNSON & DOMINIC SANDOVAL – Rumba
Choreography: Jean-Marc Genereux
Music: “Stickwitu” by Pussycat Dolls get it on ![]()
Thoughts: OMG was that really Dominic and Sabra dancing? Can I take back anything bad I ever said about Dominic? I am so glad the judges decided to keep him. I LOVE him, and Sabra. I didn’t use to like this couple but they are moving up and up on my list. It feels like every week their relationship grows stronger and it definitely shows. Rating: 5/5

SYTYCD – Sabra and Dominic- Top 16 – Rumba
LAUREN GOTTLEIB & NEIL HASKELL – Tango
Choreography: Jean-Marc Genereux
Music: “Tanguera” by Sexteto Mayor
Thoughts: Question: Isn’t Tango supposed to be a serious dance? Then, why was Lauren smiling at some points throughout the dance? This just didn’t work for me. Not hot and sexy enough. I guess I am just not a fan of Lauren and Neil. Rating: 2/5
Video:
SYTYCD – Lauren and Neil – Top 16 – Tango
JAIMIE GOODWIN & HOK KONISHI – Jazz
Choreography: Wade Robson
Music: “The Chairman’s Waltz” from Memoirs of a Geisha (Soundtrack) get it on ![]()
Thoughts: Where does Wade Robson get his inspiration? I have never seen anything like this before. How did Jaimie get her arms to move like that? It’s amazing. We all know they already were one of my favorites, that just confirms it. Nigel said it best tonight. Rating: 5/5
Video:
SYTYCD – Jaimie and Hok – Top 16 – Jazz
JESSI PERALTA MELANIE & PASHA PKOVALEV – Cha Cha
Choreography: Tony Meredith
Music: “Let’s Get Loud” by Jennifer Lopez get it on ![]()
Thoughts: So no Jessie this week? Pasha did really good by “himself”. But, I don’t know, it was weird… No Comments… Rating: 4/5

Oh no, the recap at the end of the show. This always gets me and I suddenly think everybody did really good. Who to put in the bottom three?
We’ll find out what America thinks tomorrow night.
